The rooftop garden (Stratford)

Above a carpark and surrounded by buildings, I designed a garden that reconnected a young family to nature and each other in the middle of London.

With no soil to dig down into, the garden was built up with custom planters in a range of textures. A wood store and gabions housed wood and architectural salvage to make habitat for pollinators and invertebrates.

Before, this, the garden was a completely blank canvas.

Now the family feel enveloped by their slim pergola and their growing plants.
